Happy evening dear team,

We are glad to share that today (27.02.2024) the *Department of English* organized READATHON 2K24, an Intra- colllegiate event. Students from various departments participated in 1. Poetry Writing and Reciting and 2.Story Narration in the morning session. During the afternoon session, prizes were distributed to the winners.

The event started with the welcome Address by Mrs. J.Umarani, Assistant professor ,Department of English followed by the Presidential address by the Vice-principal and Head of the Department of English Dr.T.Janarthanan who gave an account of the importance of inculcating the reading habits and sharing the creativity with each other. The Special Address was given by our Principal Dr. V. Shanmugaraju who encouraged the students for their enthusiastic participation and showcasing their talents. Following this prizes were distributed to the winners who were asked to read out their creative works.

Finally the event came to an end with Vote of thanks by Dr. P. Rishi Iniyan , Assistant Professor, Department of English .

In this regard we thank our beloved MD JI, Principal sir and Vice Principal sir and all the HOD’s for their support and would also thank our colleagues for their guidance and constant support.
