*Happy Evening Dear Team,*

We are glad to share with you that the Department of English organized FREEDOM FEST 2k24 in view of the 78th Indian Independence Day on August 14, 2024, in the Conference Hall. The department conducted various competitions during the event, including Essay Writing and Elocution. Students from various disciplines actively participated in the event.

The event started with a warm welcome to the dignitaries by *Ms. *A* .* *Delphin Mary,* Assistant Professor of English. *Dr.* *T. Janarthanan,* Head of the Department of English, gave an address on Indian Independence, the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation, and the theme “Developed India” that the Indian government has aimed at to transform India into a developed nation. Our esteemed Principal, *Dr. S. Vimal* *Anand,* appreciated the students who participated in the event and distributed certificates and prizes to the winners.

Finally, the Freedom Fest ended with a vote of thanks delivered by *Dr. V.* *Nithya Parameswari,* Assistant Professor of English.

In this regard, we would like to thank our beloved Chief Mentor Ji, our respected Principal, *Dr. S.* *Vimal Anand* , Vice Principal *Dr. T.* *Janarthanan* , and dear colleagues for their guidance and support.
