Breast Cancer Awareness Programme on 09/08/2024 BY Department of Visual Communication

We are glad to share that *Achariya Arts and Science College National Service Scheme Unit & Women Cell in collaboration with Aarupadai Veedu Medical College conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme and Medical Camp* on 09/08/2024 in the college premises.

The *Welcome Address* for the event delivered by *Mrs. S Mangaiyarkarasi, Head, Department of Visual Communication* followed by a *Special Address delivered by Dr. S.Vimal Anand, Principal, Achariya Arts and Science College* . Then, *Dr. Arun Daniel, Community Medicine, Dr. Kavitha, General Medicine, Dr. Shobika,Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Mrs. Kanchana, Karkinose* team from Aarupadai Veedu Medical College, *the Chief Guests of the event,* delivered lectures creating awareness about women’s health and breast cancer. They also conducted a free medical camp and health check up for the girl students, teaching and non- teaching women staff of the college who benefitted immensely from this programme.

*The Medical Camp & Cancer Awareness programme was organized by Dr.Silambarasan NSS Officer,AASC* and the arrangements were done by our *NSS students.*

*Mrs.Divya* ,Assistant Professor, *Department of Maths delivered the Vote of Thanks.*
