We are delighted to share that the *Department of Commerce* successfully organized a Guest Lecture on *”Startups and Entrepreneurship”* via Google Meet on August 13th, 2024.

The Event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Sadish Kadhane, Head of the Department of Commerce. After the welcome, the guest of honor was introduced, and Our Principal, Dr. S. Vimal Anand, expressed his happiness and motivated the students to come up with their own start up ideas.

The Guest Lecture was delivered by *Ms. G. Kowsalyadevi, MIB, M.Phil, (Ph.D.), Innovation Ambassador, and Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce PA, KG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore* . Her insightful lecture provided a comprehensive overview of startups and offered valuable advice on improving entrepreneurial skills. She also discussed the financial assistance available from the government for young and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The event was skillfully coordinated by Dr. J. Manimegalai, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. The session concluded with a gratitude note delivered by Ms. J. Karthigaa, second-year B.Com student.
