It is possibly one of the most underappreciated sciences. A life lesson that can be assimilated from mathematics which could ameliorate our day-to-day life is that there is every reason to believe that every conundrum has a solution.
Mathematics is the only domain of study where imagination plays an indispensable role over knowledge. Thus the study of mathematics begins in minuteness but ends in magnificence.
Such prerogative mathematics was set into action as a department of Mathematics at ACHARIYA ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE (AASC) in the year 2004. The department began with the headship of “Dr. RAJINDIRAN”. Further, this headship torch was passed on to

Ms. G. Shanmugapriya M.Sc., B.Ed., M.Phil., (Ph.D.,) and currently

This relay of shouldering the student community will continue to produce proficient graduates who will be professional Entrepreneurs and Skilled Employees to render their service at each and every level of the society.
This will be evident from the list of gold medals produced by the department of mathematics consistently. Also, since 2004, 14 batches of students have been passed with a high pass percentage. All these students were provided with value-added courses from SEED (School of Entrepreneurial and employability skill development) every semester.
